Compact P and S Recovery Heat Pump

Riverview in Gdansk by Vastint

Invite the beauty of nature inside with an indoor climate solution from Nilan.

More and more energy efficient homes and apartments in Europe do not use fossil fuels like natural gas and are provided with an optimum indoor climate by means of a Nilan Compact P or Nilan Compact S ventilation recovery heat pump. The innovative Compact P is a complementary ventilation, heating and cooling system that provides your apartment with active and passive ventilation, heat recovery and production of domestic hot water (DHW). It ensures a daily air exchange with the removal of dust particles, smells and excess humidity in exchange for a pleasant and healthy indoor climate. When it is hotter inside than outside the apartment, a built-in bypass and additional heat pump makes sure to let and produce cool air directly into the house with optimised humidity control.

Touchpanel Compact P
  1. Shows the actual temperature in the apartment.

  2. Shows the temperature of the outside air measured in the ventilation supply channel.

  3. Shows the average humidity over a 24-hour period.

  4. Shows CO2 value in the home, is controlled automatically.

  5. Shows the actual temperature in the hot water boiler.

  6. Shows whether the electrical element in the boiler is switched on (only for legionella function).

  7. Ventilation speeds, 4 positions.

  8. Information button, here you can see the current status of the unit.

  9. Access to the settings menu.

Touchpanel Nilan
  1. When you touch the symbol of the current temperature, it will display the set temperature. You can easily raise or lower this temperature with the blue and red arrows.
  2. When you touch the current water temperature of the boiler symbol, it will show the set temperature of the water in the boiler. A setting between 45˚ and 55˚ Celsius is normal. This setting is set by default for all apartments and you normally have not to change it.
  3. The ventilation position will be indicated by the number of dark fan blades on the ventilation symbol, the ventilation works fully automatically!

The settings that a user needs in daily use can be adjusted on the standard start-up screen of the control panel. The default settings for use in your apartment are most average and in a way you don't have to do anything about it anymore.

If you still want to change the temperature, slightly press symbol 1. When you touch this symbol of the current temperature, it will display the set temperature. You can raise or lower this temperature by means of the blue and red arrows that automatically appear when the symbol is pressed lightly. When you touch the current water temperature (symbol 5) off the boiler symbol, it will show the set temperature of the water in the boiler. A setting that is between 45˚ and 55˚ Celsius is normal. This setting is set by default for all apartments in this project and you normally have not to change it. The ventilation position (symbol 7) is shown by the number of dark fan blades on the ventilation symbol, the ventilation works automatically and does normally require not any adjustment.

For added comfort in the summer, the built-in heat pump has a reversible cooling circuit which allows the unit to cool the supply air in the house (top cooling) in the summer while maintaining optimum and controlled humidity. Due to the low air exchange, this does not function as an air conditioning. By extracting moisture (is actually energy) from the warm outside air, the humidity decreases, creating a more pleasant and comfortable climate, even when the indoor temperature in the home is high. This heat (energy) that is extracted from the moist and warm outside air is used by the system to produce hot water, which automatically raises the temperature of the water in the boiler.

The balanced ventilation system in the home ensures a healthy indoor air. The system also extracts as much heat as possible from the air that is discharged from your home. With this recovered heat the fresh air from outside is heated again. The system also has filters that ensure less dust in the air. For extra ventilation you can of course open windows and doors, but this is no longer necessary, but is of course allowed. In the winter, this means that the heat disappears from the apartment and this creates less comfort. In the summer more warmer air can come in than you want. It is therefore wise to keep windows and doors open for no longer than half an hour when it is cold or very hot. Always use the sun protection in the summer when available, so that you prevent the sun from heating up the house too much. In the winter it is important that the sun can shine in the house.
